User’s location is used to design the solar PV system. Since the solar PV system generation is linked to the irradiance of the any particular coordinates. So, the location taken by the App helps the technical design team to size the rooftop solar PV system most accurately. Further, as per the law of the land, the exact location of the solar PV system, the product which is sold through the app, has to be mentioned by each company.
