Description
Segmentation, volumetric analysis for dynamic studies, and labeling are fully automated using an intuitive user interface. A dissection paradigm guides placement of menu and toolbar items and the use of mouse and cursor to manipulate images and dissection of tissue objects. Tissue objects are regions of interest over segmented tissue parts. Segment using single touch (mouse and cursor) or a saccadic eye movement model. Both trigger region growing to edge pixels. Object detection is automatically propagated to neighboring images for multi-image studies. Tissue objects are recognized using a k-NN form of discrimination requiring relatively few teaching observations.
