40 dB - Quiet, like soft whispers
50 dB - Quiet office
60 dB - Ordinary indoor conversations
80 dB - Noisy, may hurt the nerve
90 dB - Very noisy, nerve damage
100 dB - Increased noise, hearing damage
120 dB - Unbearable
