With most hospitals in Singapore achieving 100% or more occupancy rates, it is critical to turnaround the bed for patients’ availability. Every minute from patient discharge (time they leave the ward) is counted to minimize any downtime of the bed. UEMS realized this challenge as early as 2010. It developed its own Bed Discharge Management The system that can improve communication not only amongst the housekeeping team but also between admission & wards. Bed Discharge Management System works by linking with existing Bed Management System or any other hospital information system like PIMS, HIS, SAP etc. With this interface, all discharge cleaning request is automatically routed to the housekeeping staff in charge in the Ward. With UEMS developed BDMS, gives wards an additional option of requesting Bed Discharge cleaning from housekeeping department directly in case of any ad-hoc requests.
