We don’t utilize fancy content algorithms so recent and most favored posts rise to the top of the feeds. Our Mission: We believe the world needs a new kind of social media; one that fosters positive interactions and helps members develop new connections! We’ve eliminated public commenting, and introduced Direct Messaging, allowing members to start conversations with anyone and everyone. See a post that speaks to you send a message. For those who have moved, recently graduated, or generally don’t know how to meet and make new friends outside of work, we developed Socialite to bridge the gap and help people spark new friendships in their area. Most networks rely on old friend groups, and while we hope you stay close to your established friends on Socialite, we enable our members to build new connections with other locals. This pandemic has reinforced our mission - the need to have a strong social community is more important than ever. At Socialite we believe social media can be a tool to connect people with similar interests. Our distance filters and Locals feed help members connect with people close enough that they can eventually move the friendship off our network and into the real world. Features Include: * Building Your Profile - Profile photos, bio, username (denoted by “$”) * Trending Feed - The most popular posts on Socialite * Locals Feed - Posts from people in your area (you can adjust the location and age filters for this feed in your Profile settings) * Following Feed - Stay up-to-date with the people you follow * Promos - Posts that have links to outside businesses for the influencers on Socialite * Favorites Feed - Your favorite posts 3 Key Functionalities: * Direct Messaging - Rather than publicly commenting, send a direct message. The message icon under every post opens a private conversation * Sharing - Every post can be shared with those you follow * Favorites - Show some love and save photos to your Favorites feed Building a Following: * Send invitations to your contacts to follow you on Socialite * Send anonymous invitations * Share a custom profile link with your username (available in the profile settings). Share on other social media accounts to build your following Premium Memberships: With our basic membership, you are able to send 10 messages a day, but if you really want to dive in to your conversations, you’ll want our premium membership. This allows you to send unlimited messages to anyone and everyone. You also have the ability to post unlimited promo links as well. We do not do ads here on Socialite, so the promo feed is all genuine products from premium members. Boost: If you are trying to build a following or just think your post deserves to be seen by the world, hit the lightning bolt at the top of your post to Boost. Boost sends your post to the top of the Locals feed. Protecting our online community: Socialite has made great strides to foster and build a safe and welcoming space; thus, we will not condone cyber bullies, nor tolerate “online trolls” or spam accounts. This is a place for positive interactions, good vibes, laughter, support, and community.
