The FREE Uniden Marine app provides, when coupled with a Uniden Marine VHF radio with Bluetooth Text Messaging capability, the ability to use text messaging between Uniden and West Marine radios when offshore, out of range of Cellular or Wi-fi coverage. • Use your phone to send and receive private text messages • Just pair your phone to a Uniden (Bluetooth enabled) VHF radio • App uses your radio DSC Individual directory for text messaging contact information • The receiving radio will acknowledge the received text message (when in range) • Also works with West Marine VHF radios with Bluetooth, Text Messaging capability • RTCM 12301.1 Standards compliant
