Chat Keeper

Chat Keeper is a private archive for your WhatsApp conversations. Import a chat once and it is yours to keep — readable, searchable and safe on your own device, long after WhatsApp has moved on. Your chats stay on this device. They are never uploaded. ► KEEP CONVERSATIONS THAT MATTER Export a chat from WhatsApp, hand it to Chat Keeper, and it becomes a permanent, readable archive — messages, photos, videos, voice notes and documents, laid out the way you remember them. A step-by-step guide walks you through getting the file out of WhatsApp, for a single chat or a group. ► READS EXPORTS FROM ANY PHONE, IN ANY LANGUAGE It does not matter what language your phone is set to, whether the export came from an iPhone or an Android, or how old it is. If a chat would not import into an older version of Chat Keeper, try it again. ► READ IT LIKE A CHAT, NOT A TEXT FILE Bubbles, dates, and every participant in their own colour. Bold, italic and struck-through text appears the way it was typed. Tap a photo to open it, play a voice note where it was sent. ► FIND ANYTHING Search inside a conversation and jump straight to the message. Browse everything that was ever sent as Media, Links or Documents. Open a chat's details to see when it started, how many messages it holds and who wrote most of them. ► BACK IT UP, TAKE IT WITH YOU Save your whole archive — every chat and every attachment — as a single file, and read it back onto a new phone. Keep that file wherever you like: on a computer, on a drive, in iCloud Drive. Protect it with a passphrase if you want to. ► EXPORT A SINGLE CHAT Share one conversation as a web page that opens in any browser with its photos and voice notes intact, as a PDF for printing, or as plain text small enough to email. Yours to keep, readable without this app. ► SEE THE SHAPE OF YOUR CONVERSATIONS When you talk, how quickly you reply, which emoji you actually use, and how much of the archive is pictures. ► LOCKED, AND OFFLINE BY DESIGN Everything sits behind a passcode, with Face ID or Touch ID to unlock. There is no account and no sync, and Chat Keeper never uploads anything: your conversations are on your phone, and a backup file goes only where you put it. ► WORTH KNOWING BEFORE YOU BUY Chat Keeper reads the chat exports WhatsApp produces. It is a one-way street: a conversation you archive here can be read, searched, printed and exported, but it cannot be put back into WhatsApp, and no app can do that. It archives what you export — it does not recover messages that are already gone. ► SUPPORT If you have a question or a request, send us an e-mail. We answer, and if something is broken we fix it. --- If you find Chat Keeper useful, please tell a friend and leave a rating on the App Store. Thank you.
