OVERHEAR records and geotags creative audio content to locations in the physical world via the app — a meta map of poems, stories and sound design for you to find and collect. This digital audio layer augments space, place and location. OVERHEAR gives you a new perspective on where you are. OVERHEAR's purpose is to move people, physically, mentally and emotionally, inviting them to reconsider their physical environment and contribute their own creative audio to that environment. EXPLORE Travel to pins on the map to collect recordings when you are in range. Some pins unlock with a QR code. Filter by project or tag, and use Sonar to hear nearby pins announced by distance and direction. RECORD Create your own recordings and pin them to a place. Invite someone to listen with a link that opens the map, zoomed to that pin. PROJECTS Browse public projects or start a private one with collaborators. Subscribe to be notified when new recordings are added. In projects that welcome it, leave an audio or text response, or submit your own recording to an existing pin — all submissions are moderated. OCCASIONS Private maps for celebrations, memorials and workshops. Guests leave voice messages at places that matter. Open your collect link, walk to each pin, and hear them where they were left. STORIES AND EVENTS Some recordings form sequential journeys or branching stories with more than one path. Look for event pins to join activities happening around you. YOUR LIBRARY Replay everything you have collected, jump back to a recording’s place on the map, and download projects to use offline. Parental Controls let you set an age band (Family, Young Adult or Adult) and protect those settings with a passcode.
