Description
Bulk File Rename builds new file names from pieces you choose, then shows the result before anything is written.
Drop files or a folder. Add rules in any order: original name, custom text, created date, image EXIF, music tags, video metadata, folder path, index, and extension. Drag rules to rearrange them. The After column turns blue with the preview. Confirm once to rename in place.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Drop files or a folder onto the window, or use Import.
2. Click Add Content and stack the pieces of the new name.
3. Click Preview. Check the After column.
4. Start Renaming. Names are written on the original files.
WHAT YOU CAN PUT IN A NAME
• Original file name, with replace, case, and range
• Custom text
• File created date
• Image metadata (EXIF, size, camera, lens)
• Music tags
• Video metadata
• Parent folder path
• Sequential index, with padding
• File extension
TEMPLATES
Save the current rule stack and open it again the next time the same job comes up.
LITE AND FULL
Free to start. Lite can import 100 files at a time. Full Version (In-App Purchase) removes that batch limit. Roll Back (In-App Purchase, or included with Full Version) restores names from when the files were imported.
