Description

Calculate and visualize Nernst and Goldman potentials based on user-defined ion concentrations and permeability. Adjust extracellular and intracellular concentrations of potassium, sodium, and chloride ions.

The Nernst/Goldman Equation Simulator provides a visualization of the Nernst and Goldman potentials given user-defined values for the relevant parameters. Users may adjust the permeability, extracellular concentration, and intracellular concentration of potassium, sodium, and chloride ions and observe the resulting changes, in real-time, for the electrical potential difference as calculated using the selected equation. Preset values are provided for common cell types.​
